First off without a doubt the overall power of the KVC this year was low. The normal powerhouse's (Brighton, Milford, South Lyon) were not very dominating
at all this season. Not to diss-credit ANY of the KVC running backs but only a couple names stood out for me this year. Running backs like Novi's Arshaun
Hall was a very good back in the KVC, however as KVCplayer56 said, it's also impressive how Lakeland fielded a couple of 5"5, 150 lb backs and had
very good success. I dont want to start getting too technical here because that will lead into the offensive linemen, and the opposing teams defense. But to
keep it simple, this was a decent year "statistically" for any running back. So was the offense that "awesome" or was the defense that
"terrible"?

KVCplayer56 wrote:Docherty had a solid year, but Taylor accomplished it while also snatching the KVC MVP on defense. And there was another guy back there who rushed for more than Taylor don't forget about that guy. I knew there was no possible way that Lakeland would finish where they were picked to, because Lakeland is usually under rated which shouldn't come as a suprise, until maybe now. Getty Lee, I am proud of you bud great season, let me know about All-Conference selections.

I get a kick out the the whole, if Arshaun Hall were healthy thing...Would it of made a difference? Maybe....How about Stevenson's QB not being healthy?
You guys know he is not 100% right? Maybe if he was healthy the score would not have been so close.....
Novi is a very good team, but got beat...Dont make excuses..Im sure the team would not make excuses. |

I agree with you TOMMYZ, well said, maybe Hall would have scored Novi a TD or two, but impact the outcome of the game, doubt it. Who actually is 100% on the feild by this point in the season anyways, the kids standing on the sidelines are and that should be it, everyone must play through injury, like tommyz said lets not make excuses for Novi here (not saying you cya), they just got beat regardless of Hall being below 100%.

Haven't heard any excuses from me? I knew Arshaun wasn't %100 when I walked into te game, but I didn't think it would make TOO much of a
difference. I think Novi's coach summed it up best, too many turnovers and too many blown coverages = the result that was witnessed. Stevenson was the
better team and Novi had little room for error if they wanted to actually BEAT Stevenson. I'm confident that I will clearly remember that in the
year 2007, Stevenson was a few athletes better and the results bore that out. Personally, I'm excited that we'll get to play them annually. The new
conference should make the possibility of a State Title for a former WLAA team, or a KVC team a likely outcome in the near future (even though FHH & WLW
have a already bagged a few).
I did take a slight issue with an above statement declaring "Brighton, Milford, and South Lyon" as the traditional powers of the KVC |

His post could have used a "with exception to Novi" so don't get the panties up in a bunch now, you dont need to defend your season, OR your programs credentials they speak for themselves.

you're right, but I did add the winking guy as a indicator that it wasn't that serious of a complaint. I will straighten out my panties now. |

KVCcya: I was just refering to this year for the powerhouse's. Because normally I would have to say the powerhouse's of the KVC are Brighton, South
Lyon, and Novi year-in and year-out.

It's all good pastback...I was just being stupid anyway. Good Luck to your Eagles when the KLAA starts up next fall. I think they are in good shape for the
future now that they've established a pattern of success.
